About this picture...
I've had many a dream where I was standing in our garden, and looking up, there would be marvellous planets and nebulae to see with the naked eye. After seeing something like that on the internet, I figured I'd try my hand on creating an image myself. So this was actually my first time compositing different images in Paint Shop Pro to get the result I wanted. The landscape was made with VistaPro 3, the planet and lensflares in Lighwave. I had originally intended for someone in a spacesuit to stand on the hill. But that would probably have killed the image.
Oh, the idea for the crater-mirroring-lake thing I got from a book called The Forever War by Joe Haldeman (if you like 'realistic' science fiction, this is a must to read!).
